He made his money at economy.com by helping state governments push their local agenda by &quot;proving&quot; to the public that public expenditure creates jobs (using the RIMS multiplier model, which basically states that every dollar will create jobs, it&#039;s just a question of how many).

Check his presentations on housing trends from &#039;05, &#039;06 to see exactly how prescient he is. The fact that the stimulus bill quotes him so heavily is scary.

And by the way, he&#039;s employed by Moody&#039;s (MCO) now.]]></description>
